I am an internationally registered Social Worker in private practice, specialising in Child and Individual therapy as well as family law matters. I have been providing clients with a wide range of therapeutic and family legal services for over 13 years. For 10 years I practiced in England and it was an incredible experience living abroad. The international exposure has enabled me to provide a range of support and counselling services to children, parents and caregivers of diverse personalities, cultures, nationalities, ethnicities and backgrounds. One of my unique skills is having a diverse understanding of various African cultures and systems.
I have a passion for striving to remove the stigmas associated with mental health. When I'm not at my practice, I am involved in the media and appear regularly on the Expresso Show (SABC 3) as a mental health expert and contribute to a variety of articles in print media.
I hold a Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) degree in Social Work from the University of Cape Town and a Postgraduate Certificate specialising in Children and Families from Kingston University, London.
I enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary manner and collaborate closely with local schools, welfare organisations and NGO's. Part of my practice also focuses on forensic social work whereby I serve as an expert witness for the Family Courts.
I take pride in providing everyone who walks through my door with a non-judgmental environment which upholds sound social work and therapeutic ethics. Life can be overwhelming and sometimes even exhausting, but I’m here to guide you or your family through any obstacles you may face.
