Kim Abrahams
Consultant. Speaker. Strategist.
Meet Kim
I grew up between cultures and built my career across borders. That experience sits at the foundation of everything I do.

I started my private practice in London before scaling it in Cape Town in 2018, navigating two healthcare systems, two legal frameworks, and two distinctly different cultural contexts along the way. That journey gave me something no qualification alone could: a robust, lived understanding of how cultural diversity shapes human behaviour and how those differences play out in families, workplaces, and communities.

I made history as the first South African social worker appointed as resident mental health expert on SABC3's Expresso Morning Show, and the first South African mental health professional to receive Contributing Expert status on Insight Timer's Therapist Hub, where I host webinars for health professionals globally. You can explore my full Insight Timer wellness content library here.

My career spans judicial consulting to the South African and British courts, organisational work with institutions including Mediclinic, Herschel Girls School, Springfield Convent, and the International School of Cape Town. I have also had the opportunity to hold an appointment at the University of Cape Town as a student facilitator, as well as guest lecturing at The South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP). I have also held board directorship at the Life Matters Foundation.

I hold a Bachelor of Social Science Honours in Social Work from UCT, a Postgraduate Specialist Certification from Kingston University London, and certified training in Digital Marketing and Copywriting from the Red and Yellow Creative School of Business.

Alongside my consulting work, I founded The Good Words Studio. A personal brand consultancy for healthcare professionals and executives who are ready to build an online presence that reflects the true weight of their expertise.

I have spent over twenty years learning from the brave people and organisations who entrusted me with their wellness. When I am not consulting, you will find me in an art studio or losing a battle with writer's block.
